British shoegazers Ride are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album ‘Nowhere’ by reissuing the record with a previously unreleased live album.
The album, which came out in 1990 in the U.K. and February, 1991 in Australia, is a seminal album of the shoegazer scene. Tracks like ‘Unfamiliar’, ‘Sennen’ and ‘Today’ are forever remembered by fans and went on to inspire a whole new generation of British rock ‘n’ roll.
The concert that will be released with the record was recorded on April 10, 1991 at the Roxy in Los Angeles during the band’s first American tour. The hour long 12 song disc mainly features songs from ‘Nowhere’, but also includes some cuts from the band’s first three pre-‘Nowhere’ EPs.
There will also be a 40 page booklet thrown in for good measure.
As testament to their talent, original member Andy Bell later joined Oasis and is currently a touring member of Liam Gallagher’s new band Beady Eye.
The record will be available exclusively through Rhino’s website.
