iTunes has announced its biggest selling song of 2010 in the United States is Train’s ‘Hey Soul Sister’.
‘Hey Soul Sister’ is from the ‘Save Me San Francisco’ album released in October, 2009. As of November 1, 2010 it had sold over 4.6 million digital downloads and became the most downloaded song of all-time for Columbia Records.
A video for the song was recorded in Los Angeles in front of the Chango Coffee shop on the corner of Morton Ave and Echo Park Ave.
The song featured on several TV shows this year including ‘CSI NY’, Hellcats and ‘Medium’.
Dixie Chicks covered the song earlier this year when they were on tour with the Eagles. The song was also cover on Glee on November 30, 2010 with Darren Criss singing.
