Primal Scream fans in Melbourne who missed out on a ticket will have another chance to see them as a second show was announced.
The show is part of their ‘Screamadelica’ world tour and will feature the legendary 1991 album of the same name played in its entirety with the help of gospel singers and a horn section.
The album features the singles ‘Movin On Up’, ‘Higher Than The Sun’ and ‘Loaded’ and was the first album to win the Mercury Music Prize. Earlier this year its relevance continued with Britain’s Royal Mail printing up postage stamps with the acid-inspired album cover alongside 9 other iconic British albums.
In March ‘Screamadelica’ will be reissued in a spectacular box set including a four-disc version of the album (with bonuses), a two-disc vinyl pressing, a t-shirt, a ‘Screamadelica’ vinyl slip-mat and a book with new pictures and the story of the album.
Tickets to the second Melbourne show are on sale at 9am, Monday, December 6.
