Primal Scream have planned a massive four disc reissue of their 1991 acid house classic ‘Sreamadelica’ to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its release.
The reissue comes in two versions, CD and vinyl, but the collectors edition box set is the one to really get excited about.
The box set features the original album that has been remastered by Primal Scream and Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine, a live album recorded in Los Angeles in 1992, 14 remixes of the songs ‘Loaded’, ‘Come Together’, ‘Higher Than The Sun’ and ‘Don’t Fight It’ and bonus tracks ‘I’m Losing More Than I’ll Ever Have’ and ‘Ramblin’ Rose’ and a remastered version of the band’s 1992 ‘Dixie Narco’ EP, which is the only recording to feature the song ‘Screamadelica’ (it didn’t appear on the album of the same name).
There will also be a DVD included featuring ‘The Making of Screamadelica’ and videos for the tracks ‘Screamadelica’, ‘Movin On Up’, ‘Slip Inside This House’, ‘Don’t Fight It, Feel It’, ‘Higher Than The Sun’, ‘Come Together’, ‘Damaged’, ‘Loaded’, ‘Shine Like Stars’ and ‘Inner Fight’.
Think that’s enough? You’re wrong! There will also be a double LP gatefold vinyl version in there, a 50 page commemorative bound book featuring interviews with the band and a brief word on the “Story of Screamadelica” by James “Founder of ‘Loaded’ Magazine, Not The Godfather Of Soul” Brown.
