Evermore are free agents after finishing up their record deal with Warner Music. Jon Hume has revealed to Undercover that for their next record they are on their own.
“We are just basically working on an album at the moment, purely focused on writing some really good songs and getting that together,” he tells Undercover’s Andrew Tijs. “We are going to think about how to release it once it comes together”.
The band released three platinum selling albums via Warner Music, ‘Dreams’ (2004), ‘Real Life’ (2006) and ‘Truth of the World: Welcome To The Show’ (2009).
Jon says the band has a few options open to them as to how they release album number 4. “That's the thing these days. We are not going to jump to any conclusions. We are just going to make the record. There are a whole lot of different ways to get your music out there and explore them, I think,” he says.
The business end of a distribution deal will come when the album is made. “At the moment it is all about just making the record,” he says. “Because we have our own studio it is very easy for us to focus on that and take it from there once we have some songs we want to play people”.
The album is expected sometime next year.
