ZZ Top is the latest act to be announced for Bluesfest (or should we say leaked).
The news that ZZ Top were to play Bluesfest was leaked early through the band’s record label website.
“ZZ Top will be part of the second announcement. That has obviously leaked,” Peter tells Undercover.fm. “I don’t have the second announcement ready yet. People think us festival directors have this magical things where we bring them out of a pre-destined date that will be the correct date to get the most press and I have got to blow that right now. We announce when we have enough artists confirmed to make the announcement make sense that I don’t quite have today.”
Bluesfest will be held over the Easter long weekend in Byron Bay. The first round of artists included the stellar line-up featuring Bob Dylan, B.B. King, Elvis Costello, Ben Harper, Blind Boys of Alabama with Aaron Neville and Michael Franti.
