Loverush UK! have remixed a song from celebrated indigenous musician Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu.
The UK club stars have remixed Paul Oakenfold and Boy George and have had more than 40 songs and remixes in the UK Club Charts.
Now they’ve brought the stirring sounds of Gurrumul to the dancefloors.
They’ve remixed Gurrumul’s ‘Wukun’, a traditional Galpu clan song telling the “story of how different families throughout North East Arnhemland move across the land, coming together, changing shape, separating and reforming, aligned as a metaphor with the nature and movement of clouds.”
‘Wukun’ is the closing track on his self-titled surprise double platinum-selling debut.
Loverush UK!’s remix has already risen to number 19 on the Music Week Club Chart.
