The Strokes have finished recording their next album and plan to have it out in a few months.
Speaking over his twitter account, singer Julian Casablancas said they finished recording last Monday (Nov 15), but it won’t be out for a few months due to “mixing etc”.
The band have been working in New York with producer Joe Chiccarelli (Frank Zappa, My Morning Jacket, Bjork, U2) since February, which makes for a marathon studio run.
The record will be the band’s fourth record, and first since 2006’s ‘First Impressions of Earth’. Casablancas has released one solo album in 2009 called ‘Phrazes for the Young’, while guitarist Albert Hammond Jr released ‘Yours To Keep’ in 2006 and ‘¿Cómo Te Llama?’ in 2008.
