Despite an unexpected health scare, radio programming legend Bob Wilson, is ready for action in 2007.
The well known and well loved U.S. radio programmer was the founder of media trade mag Radio and Records.Wilson suffered a stroke just before Christmas and has been recuperating in a Burbank hospital. "I can't wait to be back into action" is his message to friends.
Doctors say his recovery has been remarkable and a testament to his strong character and will power. According to family, they cannot believe how fast he has bounced back following the end of year scare.
Bob Wilson was the man who discovered Wolfman Jack and put him on air in Los Angeles. The Wolfman was working at XPRS Tijiana/San Diego when Wilson enticed him to just be himself on KDAY LA.
In the last few years, Wilson was working with the Wolfman Jack estate, retrieving the lost Wolfman tapes and digitally restoring them for syndication.
In 1973, Wilson founded Radio and Records, the music industry bible that is still in publication to this day.
He is currently working in new media and maintaining his innovative outlook and positive attitude with developments for the music industry.
