Kyuss Lives, featuring three original members of the stoner rock legends, will tour Australia.
The Californian pioneers of the desert rock sound broke up in 1996 and have since accrued a legion of fans who never got to see them.
Former Kyuss guitarist Josh Homme, now busy with Queens Of The Stone Age and Them Crooked Vultures, has rejected a reunion for years.
He told journalist Joel McIver, “Kyuss has such a great history that it would be a total error. I like that nobody saw Kyuss, and that it was largely misunderstood. That sounds like a legend forming to me. I'm too proud of it to rub my dick on it.”
Therefore, it’s no surprise that he won’t be a part of the three-quarters reunion shows for Kyuss Lives, but original singer John Garcia, bassist Nick Oliveri and drummer Brant Bjork bring the magic to Australia for the first time since they supported Metallica in 1993.
This will be monstrous.
Tickets go on sale Thursday 25 November.
