News leaks that Beastie Boy Adam Yauch’s battle with cancer is looking positive.
One line in a blog entry from Mike D’s wife Tamra Davis suggests Adam Yauch, aka MCA, is on the up and up, and also that we might have a new Beastie Boys album sooner than later.
It’s as simple as this: “Mike is back mixing his record, which means Adam Y is feeling better.”
Last July Adam Yauch was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in his salivary gland.
The legendary hip-hop masters cancelled shows and pushed back the release of their next album Hot Sauce Committee Part 1 so that he could be treated.
Rumour has it that Hot Sauce Committee Part 1 will see the light of day next year.
Last year Mike D told Drowned In Sound that Part 2 was “pretty much done” suggested it will be released in a more adventurous way than the usual disc-and-download manner.
A new Beastie Boys record notwithstanding, it’s fantastic news to hear that Yauch is on the mend.
