Megan Washington will perform at New York’s iconic Guggenheim Museum on Thursday night (October 21, 2010 NYC time).
The performance is part of the ‘YouTube Play: A Bienneal of Creative Video’ event featuring 25 creative videos from around the world.
The videos were chosen from 23,000 submissions from 91 countries.
Washington will perform live at the event hosted by comedian Michael Showalter and also featuring OK Go, electroica artist Pogo and San Francisco’s Mike Relm.
The 25 videos were chosen by a panel that included musician and performance artist Laurie Anderson; musical artists Animal Collective; visual artists Douglas Gordon, Ryan McGinley, Marilyn Minter, and Takashi Murakami; artists and filmmakers Shirin Neshat, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, and Darren Aronofsky; and graphic designer Stefan Sagmeister, with the Guggenheim’s Nancy Spector serving as jury chairperson.
Australians can watch the event live on YouTube at 11am Friday, October 22 here.
