Perth band Jebediah have returned from hiatus and will release their 5th studio album through Dew Process in 2011.
The new album, to be called ‘Kosciuszko’, will be released next April but the first song we hear will be ‘Lost My Nerve’ as soon as this weekend.
“I met the Jebs many years ago when they were the first band on a tour I was promoting,” Dew Process Managing Director Paul Piticco said in a statement. “They were fresh out of the garage and had just made their first recording and the energy, purpose and confidence they had in their songwriting was palpable. When I heard these new tracks from “Kosciuszko” for the first time I knew nothing had changed. I can't wait for Australia to hear this album!”
Jebediah went into hiatus when Kevin Mitchell went solo under the name Bob Evans. Mitchell has also been working the side-project Basement Birds this year.
Jebediah 2011 will be the four original members, Kevin Mitchell, Vanessa Thornton, Chris Daymond and Brett Mitchell.
