Bluesfest founder and organizer Peter Noble has “planted” a pretty good hint for Undercover about who will be performing at Bluesfest 2011.
“All I will say is this, I hear Robert Plant is starting his new tour behind the Band Of Joy album on October 14 and if he likes those first few dates there is a good chance he might be in Australia and if he comes to Australia I guarantee he will be at Bluesfest. How’s that for you? A good enough rumour?” Peter said.
Last week Bluesfest won Australia’s Favourite Event award at the Australian Event Awards in Sydney as well as picking up Best Cultural or Arts Event as well. It beat major iconic cultural events like the Australian Tennis Open in Melbourne and the Sydney New Years Eve Celebrations.
“I still can’t believe we won this award,” he tells Undercover. “To think, the music industry beat out all of those events and then a little old event in Byron Bay did it”.
Bluesfest 2011 and until at least 2021 will be held at Tyagarah Tee Tree Farm. The 2011 dates are April 21 to 25.
