Belle and Sebastian are holding a competition in which the winner will have a song written by front man Stuart Murdoch all about them.
You can enter the competition by entering a unique code that you will find in your copy of their new album ‘Belle and Sebastian Write About Love’ over at this website. You’ll be required to write 300 words about love. The site provides some guidelines:
“Write 300 words about LOVE.
Why you love.
Who you love.
What you love.
Where you love.
Anything about love.
Just write about love.”
The winner will have Murdoch fly out to wherever they reside, spend an afternoon with them and then write a song about them. Hopefully he doesn’t get flown to some guy who plays World of Warcraft in his parent’s basement all day while intermittently indie-ing out to B&S records.
The song will be released as a 7” record sometime in 2011.
Unfortunately, this competition is only available to United States residents.
