A short, bitter letter to MTV from Kurt Cobain is up for auction.
The letter reads (all typos, odd formatting and lack of punctuation Kurt’s own):
“Dear Empty TV/ the entity of all Corporate / GODS / We will survive without you/ easily – - the / oldschool is going / DOWN FAST/ my lifes Dedication/ is Now to Do Nothing/ But SLAG something / Kurdt Kobaineee professional Rock musician”
The single page note in ballpoint pen is on lined, hole-punched notebook paper.
It’s being auctioned by Julien’s online, and had a starting price of $500, with an estimate auction price of between $1000 and $2000.
Right now, after five bids, the price is already up to $2500.
