Speaking to Undercover, Chiddy Bang tell fans to get their music any way they can, since that’s what they do.
We sat down with US alternative hip-hop sensation Chiddy Bang while they were in Australia for the Parklife festival.
They’re high on the success of their ‘Opposite Of Adults’ reworking of MGMT’s Kids going platinum in Australia.
On the very same day we spoke, Chiddy Bang’s new extended EP ‘The Preview’ was released in Australia, a week before its US airing.
Regardless, MC Chiddy and producer Xaphoon seem content to let fans grab their music legally or… not so legally.
“It’s probably up on the net already,” Xaphoon observed, asking fans to “Go buy it, go illegally download it, it doesn’t matter to us!”
“If people want to buy it, that’s great, but if they don’t want to spend their money, I can’t tell them to,” he smiled, indicating that the stance would make him a hypocrite.
“We don’t spend money on music,” Chiddy admitted, “But we definitely put our hardest of work in to make sure that this was a dope project.”
“All we care is that you put it on at your party or in your car or you drink to it, lose your virginity to it,” Xaphoon requested.
Chiddy concurred, “Enjoy it, fully, 100 per cent!”
