Congrats to Megan Washington who is now officially Gold for her debut album ‘I Believe You Liar’.
The Washington record debuted at number three and remained in the Australian top 10 for 6 weeks.
For Megan, it is still all new. “This has been the most surreal time of late, but also not so surreal, because I feel that the band and I have been working really hard for two years to get to this place - wherever it is. While being written about and reviewed and the like is OK, the attention isn't really what matters. What is making me smile right now is that so many people are hearing my music and seemingly really, honestly getting it! Which is really special given the songs come from such a personal place.”
Megan Washington was also nominated for 6 ARIA Awards this week. She is up for Single of the Year (How To Tame Lions), Best Female Artist, Album of the Year, Breakthrough Artist, Best Adult Alternative Album and Most Popular Australian Artist
