Tegan & Sara are a surprise entry on a forthcoming, and free, Bad Religion tribute album.
The Canadian sister duo tackle the classic ‘Suffer’ on the forthcoming album, titled Germs Of Perfection.
Sara said, “Even though we don't think of ourselves as political, the idea of challenging yourself and your audience is something Bad Religion inspired us to do. They believe that music can be a changing force in society. So do we.”
The album is a collaborative effort from Spin Magazine and MySpace Music, where twelve artists will honour the legendary punk rock act.
Other bands to have a crack at songs by the melodic masters of Californian punk rock include Ted Leo, Switchfoot, and New Politics.
The album will be available to download from Spin’s website from October 19 but tracks are already floating around on MySpace.
