Kiwi comics Flight Of The Conchords and Katy Perry appear on The Simpsons.
Bret and Jemaine’s appearance has just gone to air in the US, for the premiere episode of the landmark show’s twenty-second season.
The appeared as arts camp counselors in the Lisa-centric episode, reportedly rehearsing beforehand on the phone from New Zealand, but recording in the US.
Not to be outdone, Katy Perry has shaken off her Sesame Street salaciousness snub for a Springfield appearance as well.
Her’s is a stranger beast though, as she’ll perform as herself and as Moe’s girlfriend in a live-action segment featuring puppets of the Simpsons characters.
Executive producer Al Jean said in a statement, “In the wake of Elmo’s terrible betrayal, the Simpsons puppets wish to announce they stand felt-shoulder-to-shoulder with Katy Perry.”
Perry’s episode is Christmas-themed, so we won’t see it for a couple of months.
