There was no reason given for the changes, but the band will resume touring in mid-October in Florida.
Reports of a recent show in Houston, TX said singer Scott Weiland was slurring and talking incomprehensibly throughout the show.
He has previously admitted to continued drinking while coming off heroin.
All tickets will be honoured for the rescheduled shows.
There has been talk of the band appearing in Australia in January for the Big Day Out tour.
