Klaxons` members Simon Taylor-Davis and Steffan Halperin say they were not sitting around sipping cocktails for the three years in between their first and second albums.
"We actually didn't stop touring until last years Bestival. It was probably about a year ago," Simon tells Undercover News. "We haven't been on a beach somewhere sipping cocktails. We've been non-stop. As soon as we stopping touring we started writing again and then we went to Los Angeles to record. We have been busy".Three years may be a long time in between records but Klaxons didn't stop working. "We just wanted the album to be right before it was released so we just thought "when its ready, its ready," Steffan says of the album 'Surfing The Void'.
When Klaxons started work on album number two, it happened fast. "Most of it was written in 10 days in Wales and then we went to LA to record it," Steffan says. "We recorded it in 3 or 4 months".
