Cold Chisel will hit the studio this week to put down their first new music since 1998.
Chisel's last studio album was 'The Last Wave Of Summer' 12 years ago. The new music will be a prelude to their headlining show at the Denilliquin Muster in October.The band will also perform a one-night only warm-up gig before the Denilliquin Muster at the Shellharbour Workers Club in Wollongong.
"We want to get down and dirty in a jam-packed club gig before we take the main stage at Deniliquin," said guitarist Ian Moss in a statement. "I can't wait. We've always played great shows in the Gong and this will be no exception. It'll be great to do a club gig together again after all these years."
Shellys has a capacity of 1500 people.
Chisel and Jimmy Barnes have used the venue regularly over the past 30 years for warm-up gigs and while on tour.
The Shellharbour Workers Club show will be on Thursday September 30. Cold Chisel will headline the Denilliquin Muster on October 2.
Fans at the shows may even be treated to the new music.
