Byron Bay’s famed Blues and Roots Festival is planning a big celebration for their 21st birthday.
The festival has brought a phenomenal list of legendary blues, roots and associated genre artists to our shores, including Buddy Guy, ZZ Top, James Brown, Wilco and Mavis Staples to name but a few, and a few years back introduced Seasick Steve to a whole new adoring Australian audience. So they're keeping a lid on who is playing at their 21st birthday celebrations for now, but what we can do is tell you that the festival will take place on the Easter weekend from April 21 - 25 and it will take place at the festival's new permanent home at Tyagarah, just north of Byron Bay.
Early bird tickets are available for the more adventurous types who just want to go, regardless of the lineup. They're cheap and only available to members of www.bluesfest.com.au.
