2010’s Indigenous Music Award Winners have been announced at a rocking ceremony in Darwin on the weekend.
The crowd were treated to live performances by Hall Of Fame inductees Tableland Drifters, Warren H Williams, Ali Mills, and the Saltwater Band with Gurrumul and Blue King Brown singer Natalie Pa'apa'a.It was a night of big wins for Arnhem Land acts and especially for female musicians.
Geoffrey "Gurrumul" Yunupingu came away with Act Of The Year, and the all-female act Wildflower won Emerging Act Of The Year.
Garrangali took out Song Of The Year and Album Of The Year, and Kumanjayi Murphy was inducted into the Hall Of Fame.
Ali Mills earnt a Special Recognition Award for significant contribution to the indigenous music scene.
