Days away from the monstrous Powderfinger farewell Sunsets trip, the band announces a mad idea to record the whole tour.
The boys from Brissy have got their Powderfinger plane ready (described by Bernard Fanning on Sunrise this morning as Finger Force One) for the nation-spanning event. They've announced now that the magicians from Abbey Road Studios (yup, the Beatles one) will be recording every show.
Punters will be able to purchase their own farewell souvenir on CD at the end of every show.
The band will also provide a digital download of the recordings for a limited time after every show on their website.
You can even pre-order a CD from the show of your choice and pick it up at the venue or even get it mailed to you.
The final ever show, on November 13, won't be available to pre-order, but they will be recording it and will be doing something special with that one.
They've also released late tickets for the following shows below. Head to their site to buy up for your last ever chance to see this Australian rock institution.
