The artists formerly known as Killing Heidi, Jesse and Ella Hooper, have re-emerged as The Verses and released their debut album `Seasons`.
Killing Heidi broke up in 2006 after releasing the multi-platinum album 'Reflector' in 2000, a Gold selling release 'Present' in 2002' and then the Top 10 charting self-titled album in 2004. "We took a fairly long break after the end of Killing Heidi," Ella Hooper tells Undercover. "We really wanted to clear our heads and refresh our inspiration tanks. There was a big gap and then we weren't sure if we wanted to come back to music professionally. We always knew we would come back for enjoyment. Low and Behold we did come back to it professionally and that was The Verses.""We started songwriting for it in 2006," says Jesse. "There was a bit of an evolution. It started off acoustic and then it developed into a few other areas. The first shows we did were in 2007 and then lots in 2008 and 2009. They have mostly been in Melbourne so unless you are in Melbourne you wouldn't know we've been playing".
The Verses debut album was released through Warner Music last week.
