Brisbanites Violent Soho lost out on a run of dates with Nick Oliveri, but are still playing with 30 Seconds To Mars.
The Brisbane grunge quartet, signed to Thurston Moore's label, have been playing across the States.Mess+Noise reports that they just lost a run of dates with ex-Queens Of The Stone Age bassist Nick Oliveri's band Mondo Generator.
Oliveri cancelled a set of shows at the last minute, leaving Violent Soho high and dry in the US.
The band posted on their myspace, "It's a shame that Nick couldn't make the decision not to play these shows a little sooner. If it had happened a little sooner then perhaps we could have rescheduled in these towns."
Not to be perturbed, the band will play some of the shows by themselves at venues who have decided they're enough of a drawcard without Mondo.
It's no massive loss, since they've still got 16 shows with Jared Leto's emo juggernaut 30 Seconds To Mars across the US and Canada.
Depending on what you think of either band, things still sound positive for Violent Soho.
