The Australian Independent Music Awards are on for another year and after such a great year for indie music, it’s more exciting than ever.
The awards are hosted by the Australian Independent Record Association (AIR).Categories include Best Album, Best Single/EP, Best Artist, Breakthrough Artist, Blues & Roots, Hardcore/Punk, Country and Urban/Hip Hop and are judged by a mixture of online, print and radio media, as well as music industry representatives and independent record labels.
The awards ceremony will be held at Melbourne's Forum Theatre on October 1 and will feature performances from the creme of the local music crop.
Notable artists up for nomination this year include Urthboy, Dan Kelly, Sally Seltmann, Kill Devil Hills and oodles more.
