With SXSW officially open for business, Sonicbids have started to take submissions for the 2011 showcases.
Of the 2000+ acts that showcase during SXSW, Sonicbids this year placed around 1500.More than 10,000 acts apply for SXSW showcases and that list is whittled down to around 2200.
2011 will mark the 25th anniversary of SXSW. The music conference is held across four days and features 89 stages with artists from more than 50 countries.
Around 15,000 industry professionals from around the world flock to Austin, Texas every March for the annual conference. Throughout the day, SXSW features 100+ panels and industry parties. At night, Austin comes alive with live music.
