Acclaimed director Terry Gilliam will be handling Arcade Fire’s Madison Square Gardens webcast.
AP reports that the kooky, iconoclastic director and trouble-magnet Terry Gilliam will direct the webcast, which kicks off a new online concert series called 'Unstaged'.The 'Unstaged' shows will be simulcast on the Universal/Sony video site Vevo, as well as YouTube.
Arcade Fire will be the first, followed by John Legend and The Roots with others to be announced at a later date.
The webcast will stream their August 5 concert from 10pm EDT.
It's the second of two shows the Canadian indie heroes have lined up at Madison Square Gardens to celebrate the launch of their new album The Suburbs.
Those who buy physical copies of the album will have the choice of eight (slightly) different covers.
The Suburbs will be released just before the shows on August 2.
