Swedish strummer Jose Gonzalez announces the first album for his band Junip.
Although Gonzalez has been fronting Junip for a decade, he's found most of his success solo, particularly with his haunting cover of Massive Attack's 'Teardrop'.Now Junip will finally release their debut album following their first ever EP, Rope And Summit, released in May this year.
The album will be called Fields and will hit stores on September 21.
Judging by the debut single 'Always', which is streaming on their myspace and will pop up on iTunes tomorrow, the trio aren't a giant leap away from his light-footed solo work.
The group have a handful of shows planned in Europe in August and September.
