Fran Healy of Travis is the latest in a long line of frontmen to jump ship from their successful band and release a solo album.
The album will go by the name of 'Wreckorder' and will showcase ten new songs. The track 'Sing Me To Sleep' is a duet with alt country songstress Neko Case and the 3/4 'As It Comes' features Paul McCartney (yes, THE Paul McCartney) on bass.
The first single 'Buttercups' lends itself to the melodic folk that his previous band Travis were known for.
'Wreckorder' will be in stores on October 5.
Healy is currently on tour with Travis in North America. When that tour wraps up, fans in Canada, Seattle and Portland will get a chance to see him headline. His shows are filled with new tunes and classic Travis, so you might want to get your arse down there and have a listen to what he's cooking up.
