After a protracted legal stoush, Iommi and Ozzy have settled over the Black Sabbath name.
In great news for Sabbath fans, the metal royals have "amicably resolved" the dispute over who gets to use the name. They said in a statement, "Both parties are glad to put this behind them and to cooperate together for the future and would like it to be known that the issue was never personal, it was always business."
This bodes well for a proper Black Sabbath reunion, which was also facilitated by the sad passing of Ronnie James Dio, who was singing with the remaining members of Sabbath as Heaven And Hell.
Now that Dio has passed and Ozzy, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward have agreed to split the trademark equally, it opens the door for the legendary band perform in their original incarnation again.
Ozzy told Rolling Stone last month "I love those guys — Bill, Tony and Geezer. I never say never anymore because you never know what's going to come around."
