50s rock ‘n’ roll legend Jerry Lee Lewis has a new album on the way featuring a slew of collaborations.
The album will be called 'Mean Old Man' and like his last studio album, 2006's 'Last Man Standing', Lewis has recruited a whole bunch of friends including Ronnie Wood, Keith Richards, Mick Jagger, Ringo Starr, John Mayer, Slash, Kid Rock, Eric Clapton and Willie Nelson to name a few.This time around Keith Richards plays the Stones' 'Sweet Virginia', Mick Jagger sings on 'Dead Flowers', also by the Stones and John Fogerty sings on the Credence track 'Bad Moon Rising'.
The record will come in two forms, a ten track standard release and an eighteen track deluxe version and fans who buy the record through itunes get a bonus track, 'Here Comes That Rainbow' with Shelby Lynn.
The record will be out on September 7 through Verve/Universal.
