Zach De La Rocha’s One Day As A Lion project plan their first live shows ever.
One Day As A Lion is a rap-metal outfit devised by ex-Rage Against The Machine singer Zach de la Rocha and ex-Mars Volta drummer Jon Theodore.In July 2008 the released a self-titled five-track EP on Epitaph-founder Brett Gurewitz's other label ANTI-. It debuted in the Top 40 in the US, a rare feat for an EP.
While there were plans for an album and another EP in 2009, nothing has yet eventuated.
Now they've announced three shows: two Californian shows at undisclosed locations on July 17 and 18, as well as a slot at Japan's Fuji Rock Festival on July 31 and three Japanese club dates.
Joining de la Rocha and Theodore on stage will be Joey Karam on keyboards of powerviolence noisemakers The Locust.
