Harmonic indie Brits The Futureheads propose an a cappella album and a covers album.
Those in the know about these perky lads know they love a good multi-part harmony, even in their mostly arch indie rock. They may or may not be kidding, but The Futureheads used twitter to call on their fans to pick a selection of their songs for a forthcoming a cappella album.
The tweet reads in full: "We are making an a cappella album and want you to help us decide which of our songs to do! Get your requests in now! o-oo o-oo o-a-o etc"
After what must've been a significant amount of requests for Arctic Monkeys and Kaiser Chiefs songs, they followed the tweet with "Which of OUR songs dudes! A covers album will follow, job in hand and all that sheeeet! X."
So it looks like we can expect not only a selection of a capella Futureheads tunes, but also a cover album too.
This will have to wait for a couple of months, as the boys are doing the European summer festival circuit until at least September.
