Luther Campbell of smut-rappers 2 Live Crew declares his support for Supreme Court Nominee Elena Kagan in print.
The genius partly responsible for the obscene rap classics 'Me So Horny' and 'Face Down, Ass Up', has written a column in the Miami New Times in support of US Supreme Court Nominee Elena Kagan.Campbell, who was known as Luke during his time with the Miami sleaze rap crew, revealed that Kagan was a supporter of 2 Live Crew's first amendment rights during obscenity trials in the early '90s.
He wrote that this "lets you know that Kagan is not easily swayed by public opinion or by politicians with their own hidden agendas."
He also suggested she is appropriate for appointment to the highest court in the land due to her support for the black community; Kagan also once clerked for first African-American supreme court justice Thurgood Marshall.
Campbell writes an occasional blog for the Miami New Times called 'Luke's Gospel', where he recently cheered Al Gore and anti-obscenity crusader Tipper Gore's divorce.
