Life and death once again shared a very short cycle on social media, as tweets began appearing that suggested Dutch DJ Tiesto had died in a car accident.It was a relief that Tiesto also had an account, and quickly took to twitter to reassure fans that he was very much alive.
He tweeted "It's nice to read that people care about my life. Thank you for all the support. It's good to be alive and to get so much love from You xx"
In short time #tiestoisalive hit twitter's top ten trending topics, trumping the initial rumour by a huge margin.
Curiously enough, apparently this isn't the first time Tiesto has been subject to death rumours. He was admitted to hospital in 2006 with a heart condition. Articles were printed at the time reporting that he had died in a car accident.
But rest assured, once again Tiesto remains alive and seemingly more popular than ever with this latest death hoax.
