The Todd Rundgren fan-based online radio show will play a new cover of his song `Sons of 1984` by Australians Tony Featherstone and Davey Lane on his web radio show.
Featherstone, who "retired" from Jimmy Barnes band a few weeks ago, "unretired" to record the song with Lane. He was a former member of The Badloves. Lane, also from the Jimmy Barnes band, is a member of You Am I and The Pictures.'Sons of 1984' is a 1974 Rundgren song. "It's an obscure favourite of ours from of his 1974 "Todd" Album...called "Sons Of 1984"...which in 1974 would have been very futuristic I'm sure. It coincides with Todd's announcement that he'll performing this album in its entirety later this year - which seems to be all the rage these days," Tony tells Undercover News.
Featherstone and Lane recorded a version of Todd's 1973 track 'International Feel' earlier this year.
