Liz Phair has released an online only album which sees the singer having, as the title suggests, a lot of fun.
Phair is giving away one track on her official website called 'Bollywood', which features tablas, a Bollywood beat and a semi-rap, semi-spoken word lyric. In a move that is sure to get science fiction nerds (me) excited, she references Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, saying "After a series of phone calls to the great publishing houses of Ursa Minor, I reached my representative, who pulled out the... cooooonnnnntraaaact."
It is her first album since 2005's 'Somebody's Miracle', although her 1993 debut 'Exile in Guyville' was reissued two years ago.
Also on her site she says fans should stay tuned for a new site and tour dates to be announced soon.
Click here to check out 'Bollywood' and buy the album for just $5.99. Since there is no label involved, the money goes directly to Phair.
