The Temper Trap won the prestigious award for Song of the Year and AC/DC`s Angus and Malcolm Young for Songwriter of the Year at the APRA Awards in Sydney last night (June 21,2010).
The Temper Trap song 'Sweet Disposition' earned them Song for the Year, the big one for the APRA's.APRA (Australian Performing Rights Association) represents Australian songwriters as opposed to the ARIA Awards which represent the recording industry.
Empire of the Sun nabbed two awards including Dance Work of the Year for 'Walking In A Dream' and Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year for Nick Littlemore, Jonathan Sloan and Nick Littlemore.
