Doubt has been cast over the future of Slipknot following the death of founder Paul Gray and co-founder Corey Taylor going back to Stone Sour for the next two years.
Taylor told Billboard that he will spend the next 18 months working with Stone Sour. That will include a new album and a world tour.Paul Gray died from a drug overdose last month in an Iowa hotel. The last Slipknot album was released in August 2008.
Stone Sour will release a new album later this year and a new song 'Mission Statement' is currently available from their website.
Taylor says the Stone Sour tour will include Japan and Australia.
There will not be any activity with Slipknot until at least 2012.
