Robert Plant has unveiled the cover for his new Band of Joy supergroup release, as well the tracklisting.
Band of Joy features Plant, guitarist Buddy Miller, and Patty Griffin on vocals, with Darrell Scott, Marco Giovino and Byron House.Band of Joy is Plant's follow-up to the award winning 'Raising Sand' album with Alison Krauss.
The name came from his original band, before Led Zeppelin. Plant and Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham were in Band of Joy from 1966 to 1968. Their roadie was Noddy Holder, who went on to front Slade.
The new album features a cover of one of Townes Van Zandt's last ever songs 'Harms Swift Way', Los Lobos' 'Angel Dance' and the tradition 'Satan, Your Kingdom Must Come Down'.
The Band of Joy album will be released in September.
