It has been revealed that Steve Iorio, songwriter and guitarist for The Vagrants, has been off the radar in recent months because he was undergoing drug rehabilitation in Austria.
In a statement, The Vagrants have announced their return and the return of Steve to active duty.“After finishing off 50 gigs in 11 weeks in Europe last year, the talented but broken guitarist suffered the same fate as many people that get too close to the flame, and just got burned out. Upon the completion of the program which included 4 months without any pharmaceutical or distilled means of improving his mood came out with a smile on his face,” they said in a statement.
Steve added, "I have seen the dark side, but came through it, and I have written heaps of new songs that see both the light and dark".
The band has also announcement that they will soon head back to the studio to start work on their next album. with legendary producer engineer Drew Parsons.
Singer Renate Ludwig has also assured fans that the band will be performing live again soon. "I'm sure it won't be long, playing gigs is what we do!!!"
