Shihad are planning a few shows in Melbourne and Sydney to play their fan-favourited albums ‘Killjoy’ and ‘The General Electric’.
‘Killjoy’, released in 1995 was the band’s second album and first to give them any kind of commercial success. It saw them tour the world and win acclaim from the likes of Metallica and Iggy Pop and for many fans, the single ‘You Again’ is their first memory of the band.
The band went in a more pop direction with their next self titled album, which they are skipping on this tour and going straight to their most successful record ‘The General Electric’.
The tour that supported this album has ascended into the realm of mythology with the energy the quartet managed to pump out of their instruments and the album - produced by Garth Richardson (Rage Against The Machine, The Jesus Lizard) - saw them sounding better than ever on record as well.
There will be one show for each album in Melbourne and Sydney and you can buy tickets by clicking here for $25 each, or $40 for the double-whammy.
