Sting has reinvented his classic rock hits into classical sings for his next record.
The chief of The Police and teamed with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra conducted by Steven Mercurio to record the album ‘Symphonicities’.The album features brand new orchestrations of songs from The Police like ‘Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic’ and ‘Roxanne’ as well as his solo songs ‘Englishman In New York’, ‘I Burn For You’, ‘Why Should I Cry For You’ and ‘She’s Too Good For Me’.
Sting will promote the July release of the album by taking the show on the road. ?"Performing with both the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Philadelphia Orchestra was truly a highlight of my career. I am looking forward to the upcoming tour with undisguised glee, having a whole new palate of musical colors to work with and reinventing the songs that have been the staples of my live performances for over thirty years."
The tour will commence in Vancouver on July 2.
