Michael Jackson's Japanese 'Premium Christmas Party' has been postponed until March 8 next year, according to organisers of the event. A such, it will be renamed 'Premium V.I.P. Party'.
The event will still be geared toward Jackson's cashed-up Japanese fans, with those wanting to meet the dethroned King of Pop able to fork out 400,000 yen ($A3,428) for the privilege.Jackson has wisely chosen not to perform at the event after his disappointing effort at London's World Music Awards in November. Instead, he will survey proceedings from a V.I.P. area. The wonderfully named 'Premium V.I.P. Party' will feature dancers, a band and gospel singers.
The festivities continue the following day with 'Fan Appreciation Day', where 15,000 yen ($A127) will entitle you to view a show featuring people dancing to Jackson's songs whilst Jackson himself watches on from a cordoned-off area. 'Fan Appreciation Day', indeed.
