Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band drummer Max Weinberg has been let go from the Conan O`Brien show it has been reported.
Music veteran Al Kooper spilled the beans about Weinberg in an interview with Rick Mason.During the interview, when asked about Conan and Max, Kooper said, “There’s a name you can’t say anymore. He's not in that band anymore”.
When questioned further by Mason, Kooper answered, “They let him go. This is a big transition, and they're all signing new contracts and everything so they replaced him, as far as I know."
Kooper suggested the departure was mutual to allow Weinberg to spend more time with the E Street Band, an interesting take considering the E Street Band are taking the next two years off.
At this stage there has been no official word on the departure from either Weinberg or O’Brien.
