Former Mazzy Star frontwoman Hope Sandoval is heading to Australia for four theatre shows this June.
Sandoval’s warm and cosy sounds will seem second nature when you venture out in the dead of winter for these spectacular shows.Sandoval’s second solo album ‘Through The Devil Softly’ achieved critical acclaim for its atmospheric charm topped with that distinct, calm voice eight years after she first ventured out on her lonesome with ‘Bavarian Fruit Bread’.
My Bloody Valentine’s Colm O’Ciosoig has been a part of both albums and is a member of Sandoval’s backing band The Warming Inventions.
In the eight year gap between records, Sandoval has made her voice heard on various other artist’s records including The Chemical Brothers, Massive Attack, Air, Death In Vegas and The Jesus and Mary Chain.
She will be supported by Mick Turner (The Dirty Three) and Dirt Blue Gene (a.k.a. The Warm Inventions).
Sandoval will be performing at the following venues:

23 - Tivoli Theatre, Brisbane, QLD
25 - Enmore Theatre, Sydney, NSW
27 - Forum Theatre, Melbourne, VIC
28 - Astor Theatre, Perth, WA
